• Time to plot a different course?
Earlier this month I celebrated my 58th birthday in the most unusual circumstances. Despite my hopes, this Covid-19 situation meant that activity outside the home was still strictly limited. We made the best of it and I had a lovely day, but of course none of us quite knows when normality will return.
Birthdays are often a cause for reflection. Recently I've been thinking about the fact that every so often in life I've had some kind of clarion call to adjust my way of being. That's the best way I can describe it. I believe we are designed to change and evolve and that opportunities will present themselves if we are open to them. The way you lived ten years ago is unlikely to serve you now. Maybe the way you lived last year no longer serves you? How about last week? Only you will know.
• Why your clutter is a killjoy
It's normal to want to enjoy life.
But what if your clutter is stopping you from doing that?
• Decluttering - mind, body and soul
Have you ever tried to declutter and not had much success?
My belief is that in order to be successful you have to be on board with the idea, mind, body, and soul. The chances are you began your decluttering efforts because you thought you "should." There would have been some sense of obligation involved. Obligation is never a very motivating state, is it?
This might sound a bit extreme, "decluttering people", whatever next?
Please bear with me. My approach to decluttering is holistic. Therefore I recommend decluttering anything that prevents you from living your life in the way you would choose for your optimum wellbeing. This is what brings me to the subject of "people".
• Are you able to love yourself?
The entire month of February seems dominated by Valentine's Day, don't you think? It's neatly placed at the mid-point of the month and let's face it, in the Northern hemisphere at any rate, we could all do with a bit of warm-hearted love this month!
What does this have to do with decluttering? Read on to find out.
